Visited the new Ashdon Farm Shop yesterday morning. One of those times when a treat was absolutely needed and we were NOT disappointed! You always hope that somewhere new will be lovely and alas, it doesn’t always turn out that way……but this is a gem of a place. We were warmly greeted both verbally by the friendly, smiling staff and visually by pastries and sausage rolls and scotch eggs and………you must see it and smell it for yourselves ☺️. Himself chose a sausage roll and I chose an apricot pastry, then black coffee and a cappuccino respectively. Took our seats outside in the sun….and this is where I usually brace myself because Himself is very, very fussy about coffee but he loved it. Phew! The food was beautiful, the pastry on both of our choices was perfect. The apricots were just the sweet, soft hug I needed. The sausagemeat in the sausage roll was what we always call “real”; someone had taken trouble with quality ingredients to make it the best. It was a beautiful day and to sit back and look at the surroundings and hear the relaxed chatter of other customers was a real tonic. We’re from the next village and we were delighted to bump into a friend and that for us completed the joy of places like this: community, treats, a sense of place, imagination and talent. Visited the farm shop 24/9. Lovely fresh produce. Bought a few items including a chicken, bacon and mushroom pie. Absolutely delicious, will definitely be going back to try the others on offer. What an asset to the village of Ashdon
Fronted by the ever welcoming Tracy ,she has put together a fantastic farm shop, which has opened this week .
Fran and Liam producing fantastic treats and I can already vouch for the meat pies,cheese and bacon twists and the incredible quiche.

The Ashdon Farm Shop is a great place to pick up some fresh food that is delicious. The Opening yesterday was a great success and customers will appreciate the produce and service.
